In times of stress, I like to clean, devour crime stories, and reread recipes.  Here are some recipes I found.  Rereading recipes keeps me out of trouble!

From Gertrude’s Corner:

Lemon Ice Cream

2 c. heavy cream or half & half

1 cup sugar

2 tbsp. grated lemon peel

1/3 cup lemon juice

Dissolve sugar in cream, mix in juice and freeze for hours.  Sounds simple and good.  I need to try.

and here is one for corn flake macaroons.

Beat 4 egg whites with 1/4 tsp cream of tarter, 1 tsp. vanilla until foamy.  Add 1 1/3 cups sugar and beat till stiff.  Fold in 1 cup pecans, 1 cup shredded coconut and 3 cups Kellog corn flakses. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes.

I know my mom would have enjoyed me sharing these recipes and give me a holler if you try them!
