Not sure belonging is something I care to do. Seems like they are nothing more than a social entity that simply wants to charge you a fee for belonging with zero tangible results. With social media (facebook, Yelp, Urban Spoon, etc) taking over as a means of finding a local product/business, the Chamber has lost its usefullness. Until someone can prove otherwise, I will not join. It is expensive and basically just allows you to go to meetings. The same can be said about networking groups…just a bunch of small businesses introducing themselves week after week to the same people. This may have worked before the I-net, but not really necessary anymore.
